The county Department of Water’s Edie Ignacio Neumiller, Jonell Kaohelaulii, Marcy Soliz, Ferdinand Mariano, Norma Imada, Terrilyn Amorin, Christine Erorita and Brandi Ventar are in pink as they head to lunch in observance of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, at DOW headquarters in Lihue.

Wow! Kudos to all those who are observing October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month (the Kauai Interscholastic Federation volleyball officials all have pink whistles and lanyards; Kapaa and Waimea high school girls are in pink warmups, and there is still more to find). Edie Ignacio Neumiller got the county Department of Water to do pink, and Alden Alayvilla said the Historic County Building is lit up in pink (so is that shopping stop in Kapaa across Otsuka’s) for October.
