“I love it when they get dressed up like this,” said one who laughed aloud after getting over her initial shock. “This is fun.”
Kukui Grove Center opens the doors to Freaky Fridays and Spooktacular Saturdays starting Friday when Tiffany Dick and the Aloha Dance Studio hosts Freaky Fridays between 5 through 9 p.m. with a special Halloween festival on Oct. 27.
“We’re back,” Dick said. “We’ll have our offering of keiki events and family-oriented activities in an area near the exhibition area. And, there will be special dance presentations throughout the night, too.”
In addition to Freaky Friday family fun, fans of haunted houses and spooks are able to enjoy the Community Haunted House presented by Mauka Man productions that opens from 6 to 9 p.m. on Fridays and from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturdays throughout the month.
There is an admission fee at the door to the Community Haunted House that will benefit a Kauai nonprofit organization that is yet to be specified.
“I love Halloween,” said Melissa McFerrin-Warrack of the Kukui Grove Center management team. “We’re just trying to make Halloween better than ever.”
