Peace rally Friday
A celebration of peace will take place in Hanapepe from 6 to 7:30 pm. Friday, starting with the candlelight Peace Walk from Sparky’s Garden, Storybook Theatre to the World Peace Statue at the Soto Zen Temple, a 15-minute walk.
A celebration of peace will take place after the arrival of the walkers on the temple grounds in front of the peace statue that will include a blessing, drumming, song and an exhibition of student expressions of peace.
Al are welcome.
Refreshments will be available with all donations going to Eleele School 4th grade students for their annual off-island excursion.
Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on Sept. 21.

What “Peace” are we referring to, and where is this “Peace” thriving today on earth? What is the definition of “celebrate” that applies here? A more accurate description might be “Dreaming of Peace”.
