Gabbard stands for what is right
When I see and listen to Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, I don’t see a Democrat or a Republican. I see a courageous person who speaks out despite the vicious attacks from the war mongers who seem to be hell bent on creating another Cuban Missile crisis in Ukraine.
Tulsi’s informative statements helped to keep us from another war over Syria. She is a hopeful star that gives me hope that there is at least one member of Congress, who knows war and knows that you don’t get into it lightly, especially just to make a few people richer.

Don’t need the unprepared, store returns
So fortunately for Hawaii, we dodged another potential devastating hurricane. But the chaos it created was unbearable with residents and visitors flooding the stores, gas stations, etc.
Residents who have lived here longer than two years are hopefully always prepared, but the other people who flood the stores adding extra stress and chaotic behavior we don’t need! Because now those same people are back in line at the same stores returning items they didn’t need — plywood, food, generators, batteries, etc.
We hope that these particular stores, Costco, The Home Depot, Ace Hardware, Hawaii Hardware, to name a few, have a no-return policy for obvious hurricane-supply purchases.
We live in Hawaii. We know the potential natural disasters we are always threatened with, so always stay prepared!
The part-time residents who abuse this obviously couldn’t survive longer than two days without electricity and probably should look at another piece of paradise to live. The visitors returning those cases of water and food that they didn’t need? Try donating it to a local charity, food bank, staff at hotels or other people in need.
Come on people, plan ahead and don’t abuse the place we live … just saying.

Maybe you can let HI-EMA, the Gov. and the News agencies know not to advise people to update their old stocks of emergency goods before a storm. That’s good advice from you, yeah.

Huge Mahalo to our Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard who is a brave soldier saving us from a World War III as the Letter to Editor notes. Tulsi went to war 2 times more than any of us sitting at home with opinions, or falling for propaganda blatantly spread against such a true representative for Peace. We are all ever grateful to Major Gabbard for standing up against the war machine $$. Tulsi is saving our country, families, and loved ones from more horrendous losses!
I agree with Joseph Dupont. Tulsi has shown courage and aloha, while staying true to principles that are in the best interests of the people of Hawaii and the nation. She doesn’t wither in the face of criticism; she stands strong for what’s pono.
Tulsi Gabbard is experienced. I just got through reading a book by Ben Coes, First Strike New York Times bestselling author. She knows the foreign relations. She knows the rough side of life.
