Chef Jason Sessions of the Nanea Restaurant at the Westin Princeville topped the 9th annual Kauai Coffee Celebrity Chef Cookoff for Charity, earning $2,000 for the Westin Princeville Foundation.

The feat opened the Kauai County Farm Bureau Fair for its four-day run on the grounds of Vidinha Stadium that was transformed into carnival grounds by the appearance of the EK Fernandez midway and rides.

A full slate of entertainment and carnival contests filled the air made sweet by the food booth offerings from many schools and community organizations.

The fair was dedicated to the Orsatelli ohana, long-time supporters of the 4-H program that is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.

The Kauai County Farm Bureau, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, presented the community event with the help of numerous community organizations and the County of Kauai.
