Rev. Thomas J. Cassidy
Reverend Thomas J. Cassidy of Hemet, Calif., passed away at the age of 84 years old, on July 9, 2018. Rev. Tom Cassidy was born Nov. 26, 1933, in Bozeman, Montana.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Annette C. Cassidy and his sister, Sr. Judine Cassidy.
Tom Cassidy is survived by his stepchildren, Sue (Solomon) Kanoho, Mike Chisholm, John (fiancé Naomi Taniguchi) Chisholm, Greg (Karin) Cassidy; grandchildren, Justin Kanoho, Brittaney Chisholm, Emma and Zoe Chisholm, Brianne and Bridget Cassidy; brothers, Bob Cassidy, Jim Cassid; sister-in-law, Cathy (Bill) Coulson-Keegan; along with numerous nephews and nieces.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Poipu Beach Park Pavilion.
Inland Memorial Harford Chapel in Hemet, Calif., assisted the family with arrangements.
Juli Ann Mira
Juli Ann Mira, 54 years old, of Lihue, Kauai, passed away on July 21, 2018, at Wilcox Medical Center. Born on Oct. 26, 1963, in Waimea, Kauai, Juli was a administration clerk for Airport Division.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Zoilo and Juliette Mira.
She is survived by her son, Reno Jazz Mira of Lihue, Kauai; daughter, Nagel Stoli Mira of Lihue, Kauai; brothers, Anthony M. (Joanne) Mira of San Francisco, Jeff (Lisa) Mira of Wailua Homesteads, Kauai, Greg (Monika) Mira of Eleele, Kauai, Tim (Lynn) Mira of Kalaheo, Kauai; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at Garden Island Mortuary chapel in Lawai from 9 to 10:15 a.m. where a celebration of life will be at 10:30 a.m.

Mildred Frances Chaves Ayau
Mildred Frances Chaves Ayau, 89 of Kauai, formerly of Aiea, Hawaii, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 15, 2018. She was born on Sept. 24, 1928, to Joseph and May Chaves in Aiea, Hawaii.
She is survived by her by her children, Earl (Trudi) Kilar, Glenn (Pua) Ayau, Barbara (Brian-D) Ayau-Aguiar, Renee Ayau, Jamie Ayau; twenty-three grandchildren, sixty-four grea-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda (Clarence) Santos, Sandra (Harry-D) Hueu; brother, Richard (Pat) Chaves. She is also survived her numerous hanai grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Mary and Joseph Chaves; husband, James M. Ayau; daughter, JoAnn Kilar (Michael Shimono); grandsons, Kaleookalani Tyler and Corey Onaka and great-granddaughter, Skye Soto-Tyler.
A celebration of life will be held on Aug. 11, 2018, at Salt Pond Beach from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Florence ‘Tootsie’ B. Kajiwara
Florence “Tootsie” B. Kajiwara, 98 years old of Waimea, Kauai, passed away on Aug. 2, 2018, at her home in Waimea. Born on Feb. 19, 1920, in Waimea, Kauai. Florence was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hattie and Axel Blackstad; husband, Mitsuo Kajiwara; daughters, Bonnie Nani Penaroza and Linda Kajiwara.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Blackstad; daughters, Paulette Akana, Siebel Sheldon-Kubo; grandchildren, Sam Hiene (Mariann) Sheldon, Kumalu (Irene) Sheldon, Sueyen (Billy) Ortiz, Kaono Penaroza, Christie (John) Kleppel, Craig (Diana) Akana; 15 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Blackstad; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Kekaha ward from 9 to 10:45 a.m. where services will be celebrated at 11 a.m. There will be a burial to follow at Kekaha Hawaiian Cemetery.

Wallace Jitsuo Nakamura, 80 years old of Eleele, Kauai, passed away on July 24, 2018, in Waimea, Kauai. Born on May 16, 1938, in Waimea, Kauai, he was a retired auto parts sales man and also served in the United States Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sensuke and Tami Nakamura; step mother, Misao, Nakamura; sister, Kazue Moriwake; brother, Richard Nakamura.
He is survived by his wife, Yumiko Nakamura; sons, James Nakamura, David (Kayde) Nakamura; grandchildren, Aiden, and Elyse Nakamura; brother, Riachard Nakamura; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, at Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. where services will be at 3 p.m. Inurnment will be at the Lawai Cemetery.
