National Weather Service meteorological expert Gregory Hall will present a lecture on severe weather at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at the Princeville Public Library.
The lecture will offer an in-depth look at Hawaii’s weather throughout the winter and wet season, which generally runs from September through February. Hall will also cover the weather system that caused the historic flooding last spring and how we can recognize if a similar pattern has the potential to develop again.
Hall is the meteorologist in charge at the NWS Kauai office. He specializes in tropical weather analysis and prediction, including hurricanes.
