Michael Kazuo Hatakeyama
Michael Kazuo Hatakeyama, 73, of Lihue, passed away in Wilcox Medical Center on June 25, 2018. He was born in Lihue on Jan. 18, 1945, and was co-owner of Auto Value Parts Store.
He was preceded in death by parents, Sakae and Matsuko Hatakeyama; mother, Alice Hatakeyama and brother, Jon Hatakeyama.
He is survived by wife, Darlene Hatakeyama; son, John Hatakeyama; brother, Michael (April) Womack; sisters, Sharon Contrades and Joy (Les Koshi) Hatakeyama; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration will be held on Saturday, Aug. 4, at Kapaa Hongwanji Mission, with visitation from 10 a.m. and services celebrated at 11 a.m.
The family graciously declines flowers.

Kale Keith Camacho
Kale Keith Camacho, 27, of Hanamaulu, passed away on July 4, 2018, at his home in Hanamaulu.
Born on Nov. 15, 1990, in Kona, Hawaii, he was a service station attendant at Hanamaulu Service Station.
He was preceded in death by father, Sheldon Eric Camacho.
He is survived by mother, Linda (John) Davis; brothers, Palani (Dayla) Camacho of Kekaha, Ikaika (Kathleen) Camacho of Lawai and Keolamaikalani Joshua Camacho of Hanamaulu; paternal grandparents, Donald and Carole La‘a; sister, Erica-Shay Paishon Camacho of Kona; nephews, Seoni Castillo, Kaden Andres, Ty Camacho, Kaimana Camacho, Wyatt Camacho and Kupono Paishon Balgas, nieces Shelbri-Ann Cosier, Charli Camacho and Makamae Paishon Balgas; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, August 18, at Garden Island Mortuary chapel in Lawai from 9 to 10:45 a.m., where services will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
The family suggests casual attire.

Eleanor M. Rente
Eleanor M. Rente, 91, a blessing for many, is home with the Lord on June 25, 2018. She was born and raised on Kauai.
She was a CEF instructor/director on Kauai, Oahu, in Salem, Oregon, and other locations.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
The Kauai service will be held at Kauai Baptist Church on Saturday, Aug. 4, at 10 a.m.
Consuelo Ancheta Yamane
Consuelo Ancheta Yamane passed away on July 14, 2018, in Honolulu. She was born on April 22, 1934 in Makaweli.
She was owner and founder of Amuseden Kitchen in Waimea.
She is survived by sons, Michael (Erlinda), Lyndon, John Sydney, Albert; grandchildren, Kaileen and Michael Jr.; daughter-in-law, Christy Fujimori; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe. Viewing will be at 10 a.m. with services to begin at 10:15 a.m. Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m.

James Paul Funston
James Paul Funston, 78, died peacefully on July 11, 2018, in Yakima, Washington. He was a retired business owner.
He was preceded in life by parents, Opal and James A. Funston; sister, Rowena Phelan and daughter, Cynthia.
He is survived by wife, Gloria Valera Manipon; children, Kimo (Kris) Funston of Stanwood, Washington, Todd (Mary) Funston of Marysville, Washington, and Valerie (David) Barnett of Selah, Washington; sister, Mary Ellen Pond of Yuma, Arizona; brothers, Fred (Diann) Funston of Las Vegas, Alfred (JoDee) Funston of Sunriver, Oregon; grandchildren, McKenzie, Blake, Sara, Thomas, Benjamin, Ella and Brittany; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Emma, and numerous other family members.
Private family graveside services will be held on July 30 at Lihue Cemetery.
Ed Thompson
Ed Thompson passed away on July 13, 2018. He was born on Oct. 17, 1947.
He is survived by daughter, Amber Carpenter; her son (his grandson), Spencer Carpenter; brothers, Dan and Bill Thompson.
His celebration of life will be at the Kauai Christian Fellowship Church Sunday, July 29, at 4 p.m.
It is a potluck with some catering. The family is asking people to bring photos and stories of Ed if they can.
Dorothy-Ann Jean Foster Hance
Dorothy-Ann Jean Foster Hance, 86, recently of Kamuela, Hawaii, passed away June 22, 2018, lovingly surrounded by family.
Born in Koloa on March 12, 1932, she was raised at both Poipu and Kokee on Kauai. She married the love of her life, John “Skip” Hance, of Oahu, in 1952 in Lihue. They spent 66 years together living where ever Amfac Sugar sent them, on Oahu, Kauai, Maui and the Big Island. After retirement, they moved to the Big Island and loved living in Kamuela, which they enjoyed for 25 years.
She was the wife of a sugar plantation trainee turned manager. Her greatest joy was being with her family. She was the mother of six, grandmother of 18 and great-grandmother of 12. She was a member of the Daughters of Hawaii. She had a very special place in the hearts of countless people. Her aloha spirit, love for family and friends and ability to comfort and support all who needed her will be sorely missed.
A private celebration will take place on Aug. 5.
She is survived by husband, John “Skip” Hance of Keaau; daughters, Linda (Peter) Baldwin of Poipu, Chris Hughes of Chicago, Katherin Nalani Hance of Ahualoa, Julie Hance of Keaau and Tricia (Tony) Cruz of Keaau, son John “Tom” (Sara) Hance of California, and brother Dan “Chub” (Maria) Foster of California.
