Robert Sueo Higashi
Robert Sueo Higashi, Sr., 84 years old of Kekaha, Kauai, passed away on June 24, 2018, in Lihue, Kauai. Born on March 18, 1934, in Waimea, Kauai, Robert was a medical specialist and also he was in the United States Army
He is survived by his sons, Dwayne (Tammy) Higashi of Eleele, Robert Higashi of Olympia, Washington; hanai-son, Jay Oyama of Oahu; daughters, Tammy (Mativa) Tupe of Kamuela, Hawaii, Blanche Higashi of Kekaha; hanai-son, Jay Oyama; grandchildren, Tasha Rita, Malia Rita, April Rita, Christopher Vidinha, Damien Higashi, Brianni Higashi, Leilani Higashi, Rachelle Higashi, Josie Higashi-Sasaki, Elray Tupe, Kainoa Tupe, Royce Kawamura, Ryan Kawamura; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Kathy Saiki of Honolulu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Kekaha Boat House. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. and services will be from 10 a.m. to noon.
A luncheon will be held after the services.
Scattering of ashes to follow. Aloha attire requested.
Vincent Paul Alvarez
Vincent Paul Alvarez, 59 years old of Kekaha, Kauai, passed away on July 16, 2018, at his home. Born on Oct. 13, 1958, in Waimea, Kauai, Vincent was a crew chief with Kauai Coffee.
He is survived by his brothers, Thomas Alvarez of Waimea, Brendan Alvarez of Kekaha; sisters, Mary Alvarez-Manuel of Kekaha, Cordell Blair of Colorado Springs, CO; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at St. Theresa’s Church in Kekaha, from 9 to 10:45 a.m. where Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
Family requests casual attire.

Misao Nakamura
Misao Nakamura of Kapaa, Kauai, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2018, at the age of 94. Her long and full life centered around her family and friends. Misao was a retired cafeteria manager of Kauai High School.
She is survived by her nephews, Milton Nakamura, Clifton Hayashi, Nelson Hayashi, Melvin Hayashi, Lloyd Nakamura, Richard Nakamura, Miles Nakamura; nieces, Marie Hashimura, Irene Nitta, Joan Yamamoto, Jean Naito, and Susan Neil.

Kaipo Puluke Alekanekelo Yoshio Kaiama Kali
Kaipo Puluke Alekanekelo Yoshio Kaiama Kali, 25 years old of Lihue, Kauai, passed away on July 5, 2018, at his home in Lihue. Born on April 30, 1993, in Lihue, Kauai.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry “Cha-Cha” and Caroline Saronitman, Lorraine Komaki-Kali and Placido Jose
He is survived by his parents, Bruce a. (Cathy L) Kali; sister, Ku’uipo (Kurtis) Balai-Kali; brothers, Kekoa (Marissa) Kali Kainoa Kali; Fiance, Mariah Camat-Magno; daughters, Riahte’a Camat-Kali, ‘Ale’a Camat-Kali, Tehina’vai Camat-Kali; son, Ali’iloa Camat-Kali; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, at Borthwick Mortuary chapel in Koloa from 6 to 9 p.m. At 7 p.m. Father Arlan will have a prayer service for Kaipo.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Aug. 5 2018, at Wailua Homesteads Park. Friends and family may visit the family from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. with luncheon to follow .

John Carlton Roberts
John Carlton Roberts, 92, of Honolulu, passed away on July 11, 2018. He was born on Feb. 22, 1926. He was a retired physician at Straub Clinic and a pianist.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Kate Craighill Roberts; children, Dorothy (Dana) Roberts of Kapaa, Carolyn Roberts of Tucson, Arizona, Rebecca Ann Roberts of Tucson, Arizona, William (Elena) Peyton Roberts of Charlotte, North Carolina; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, Aug. 3, at 4 p.m. at St. Michael’s and All Angels Episcopal Church at 4364 Hardy St. Lihue.
Consuelo Ancheta Yamane
Consuelo Ancheta Yamane, passed away on July 14, 2018, in Honolulu. She was born on April 22, 1934, in Makaweli. She was owner and founder of Amuseden Kitchen in Waimea.
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Erlinda), Lyndon, John Sydney, Albert; grandchildren, Kaileen and Michael Jr.; daughter-in-law, Christy Fujimori; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Aug. 1, 2018, at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe. Viewing will be held at 10 a.m. with services to begin at 10:15 a.m. There will be a burial to follow at 11:30 a.m.
