LIHUE — Public school officials Tuesday received funds at the Kauai High School multi-purpose classroom.
Corteva Agriscience, represented by Laurie Yoshida and joined by Stephanie Iona and state Rep. James Tokioka, presented more than $15,000 to 11 public schools on Kauai tor their respective programs in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and agriculture-related projects.
Hanalei School received $400, Koloa School received awards of $500 and $948.83, Kalaheo School was earmarked for $2,000, Kapaa High School and Kauai High School each received $2,500, and Waimea High School received two awards, one for $1,000 and another for $1,600.
Kilauea School received $1,000, Waimea Canyon Middle School received $1,550, and Elsie Wilcox Elementary School received $1,500.
