Gareth Akito Ueno, 83, of Kekaha, passed away on May 20, 2018, at his home in Kekaha.
Born on Nov. 24, 1934, in Waimea, he was a medical laboratory supervisor and assistant X-ray technician and also served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by parents Tadakiyo and Asayo Ueno, son Steven Curt Ueno, brother David K. Ueno and sister Irene Nozaki.
He is survived by wife Nancy Fuertes Ueno, sons Brian (Charlene) Ueno and Drew (Mel) Kapono, stepson Ryan (Kathy) Baniaga, hanai son Tony (Heather) Howland, daughter Marla (Brian) Rabago, stepdaughters Sandra (Kent) Baniaga Brown, Sharla Baniaga and Raenella Fuller, grandchildren Charles and Scot Rabago, Drew Ueno, Chesey Ueno and Devon Ueno, step-grandchildren Marcy Brown, Morris Brown and Brysen Baniaga, great-grandchildren, brother-in-law David (Carol) Fuertes, nephews Owen and Marlyn Ueno, grand-niece Trina Ueno, the Nozaki and Takata families, and hanai family Bryce Howland and Mark and PJ Isoshima.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, July 21, at Kaumakani Methodist Church from 9 to 9:45 a.m., where services will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe. The family suggests casual attire.

Leonarda Gallardo Pascua, 87, of Kekaha, passed away on July 4, 2018, at her home in Kekaha.
She was born on March 1, 1931, in the Philippines.
She was preceded in death by parents Juan and Eugenia Gallardo, husband Eloy Pascua, sisters Trinidad Gallardo Garcia and Caridad G. Galacgac, and brothers Federico and Ambrocio Gallardo.
She is survived by sons Jacinto (Linda) Pascua of Kekaha, Christopher (Fely) Pascua of Kekaha, Willy (Renee) Pascua of California and Benny (Janeth) Pascua of California, daughter Josie (Danilo) Pascual of Honolulu, 17 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, brother Vicente Gallardo, sisters Rosalina Gallardo Garcia and Cristeta Gallardo Walat, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, July 16, at St. Theresa Church in Kekaha from 8 to 9:45 a.m., where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery.
The family suggests casual attire.

Francisca Ragasa Raguindin, 87, of Eleele, passed away on July 7, 2018, at her home in Eleele.
She was born on Aug. 21, 1930, in the Philippines.
She was preceded in death by husband Gregorio Raguindin.
She is survived by daughter Frances (Fernando) Constantino of Eleele, grandson Kylan Constantino of Eleele, granddaughter Katelyn Constantino of Eleele, and two sisters and three brothers in the Philippines.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, July 21, at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m., where Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Raphael Church Cemetery in Koloa.
