Gregory Hall, meteorologist in charge of the National Weather Service, Kauai office, will be joined by Scot Ferguson, a meteorologist technician at the NWS, Kauai office, in discussing Kauai’s wet season of thunderstorms and Kona lows, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hanapepe Public Library.

“This presentation is phenomenal for anyone wanting to understand Kauai’s wet season weather,” said Jean Souza, a community volunteer with the Hanapepe-Eleele Hawaii Hazards Awareness and Resilience Program.
Hall specializes in tropical weather analysis and prediction, including hurricanes. He has more than 35 years of experience as a meteorologist. Ferguson brings 23 years of service as a meteorologist with the United States Navy before moving to Kauai.
