LIHUE — AES Distributed Energy Solutions took time out of its work with the Kauai Island Utility Cooperative to present $10,000 to the Kauai United Way Thursday morning at the Mo‘ikeha Building where they were joined by representatives of the County of Kauai.
LIHUE — AES Distributed Energy Solutions took time out of its work with the Kauai Island Utility Cooperative to present $10,000 to the Kauai United Way Thursday morning at the Mo‘ikeha Building where they were joined by representatives of the County of Kauai.
“This is badly-needed funds,” said Lynette Medrano-Stine of the Kauai United Way. “These funds are for disaster relief and will help those organizations who continue to do relief and recovery outreach work.”
Scott Giarman said they are fortunate to have KIUC make the connection with AES Distributed Energy Solutions to arrange for the contribution. AES is working with the energy storage component of the KIUC solar farm.
Tom O’Flynn of the AES corporate office was joined by Woody Rubin and Rob Cooper of Colorado in making the presentation.
