The Kapaa Jodo Mission is decked out in its bon finery as hundreds of people celebrate the first bon dance of the Kauai Buddhist Council calendar. The bon dance moves to the West Kauai Hongwanji, Hanapepe Temple this weekend.

The bon dance moves to the West Kauai Hongwanji, Hanapepe Temple this weekend with the concessions (yes, they have flying saucers, too) opening from 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Jasey Chikahiro has her dollars ready for the games to open, Friday night during the Kapaa Jodo Mission bon dance. The bon dance moves to the West Kauai Hongwanji, Hanapepe Temple this weekend with the concessions opening from 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Rev. Tomo Hojo and his West Kauai Hongwanji ‘ohana will take the wraps off the bon dance at the West Kauai Hongwanji Mission, Hanapepe Temple, this Friday and Saturday, starting with dancing at 7:30 each night. People can go early (avoiding that Puhi bottleneck) and check out the early offerings of the weekly Friday Night Art Walk in Hanapepe, and the early opening of the bon dance food booth.
