POIPU - A 30-year old Oahu man was arrested Sunday night, following a single vehicle crash that happened shortly before 11 p.m. and closed Maluhia Road for an hour.
POIPU – A 30-year old Oahu man was arrested Sunday night, following a single vehicle crash that happened shortly before 11 p.m. and closed Maluhia Road for an hour.
Police say Aaron Manel Jr., was driving south on Maluhia Road in a large pickup when he lost control, crossed over both lanes and struck a rock wall on the road’s northbound shoulder, both lanes of Maluhia Road, just north of the Wailaau Road intersection.
Manuel sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at Wilcox Hospital, according to the Kauai Police Department.
Investigations reveal he was operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant. Manuel, was charged with OVUII and released on Monday, after posting $750 in bail.
