Rosendo Gudoy Pablo
Rosendo Gudoy Pablo, 80, of Eleele, passed away at his home in Eleele on April 13, 2018.
Born on March 1, 1938, in the Philippines, he was a retired field worker with Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc.
He is survived by wife Juanita Aglugob Pablo, mother Isidora Del Rosario Pablo, daughters Brigette (Rey) Quiocho, Carolina (Tebo) Booth, Josie (Frank) Bagul-Lo and Rowena Pablo, sons Oliver (Myla) Pablo and Allan (Maricel) Pablo, 14 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sisters Lenora Felipe, Nicolasa (Juanito) Castillo and Prima Cabatan, brother Eden Pablo, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, May 4, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary chapel in Koloa from 6 to 9 p.m., and again on Saturday, May 5, at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo, from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m., where Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery.
The family suggests casual attire.

Mitsue Haraguchi Mizuo
Mitsue Haraguchi Mizuo, 99, of Lihue, passed away on April 18, 2018, in Lihue.
Born on June 15, 1918, on Kauai, she was a housewife and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by parents Tokusaburo and Haruno Haraguchi, husband Tadashi Mizuo, brothers Tomeji and Tomoki Haraguchi, and sisters Haruki Gladys Abe, Midori Alice Yoshimura, Masayo Watamura and Jean Mikasa.
She is survived by sons Dennis (Sharon) Mizuo of Honolulu, Kenneth (Lynette) Mizuo of Kauai and Gary (Sharlyn) Mizuo of Honolulu, daughter Joyce Hayashi of Honolulu, eight grandchildren, six great- grandchildren, sisters Hazel Park of Nevada and Betty Ross of Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services will be held. The family requests no koden (monetary gifts).

Richard ‘RJ’ John Higgins
Richard “RJ” John Higgins, 72, of Kapaa, passed away at home on March 29, 2018. He was born in Chicago on Nov. 29, 1945. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and was employed as a computer technician for Hawaii State Public Library System.
He is survived by daughters Maikalani (Jesada Homchand) Hill-Higgins and Loke (Garin Gardner) Hill-Higgins, and one granddaughter.
Services will be held at a later date.

Elise Mari Ohama
Elise Mari Ohama, 63, of Koloa, passed away on April 18, 2018.
She was born on Aug. 9, 1954, in Hawaii.
She was preceded in death by parents Harry and Masako Ohama.
She is survived by sisters Nancy Matsuoka and Stacy Ohama, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services will be held.

Doriann C. Garan Ching
Doriann C. Garan Ching, 70, of Kapaa, passed away on April 20, 2018, in Lihue.
Born on Dec. 20, 1947, in Lihue, she retired from the Kauai BeachBoy Hotel and Westin Kauai in the human resouces department, and also from the state Department of Education.
She was preceded in death by husband William “Willy” Ching, father Hermenigildo Garan, mother Amelia Poli, and brothers Benjiman, Herman and Benidict Garan.
She is survived by son Wesley Ching of Honolulu, daughters Dana (Cory) Paden of Lihue and Myra (Pedro Gutierez) Ching-Remitio of Pearl City, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, brothers Gaylen (Sally) Garan of Las Vegas, Baron Garan of Dan Diego and Elmer Garan of Sacramento, sisters Josephine (Tony Balada Jr.) Koga of Honolulu, Shirley (Bert) Crowder of Honolulu and Bette Lee Poli of Honolulu, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, June 2, at St. Catherine Church in Kapaa from 8 to 9:45 a.m., where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Inurnment will be at St. Catherine Church Cemetery.
The family suggests aloha attire.
