Michelle Lemay will give a free Vegan Society of Hawaii presentation, “Dispelling Vegan Myths, Kauai Style,” at 4:30 p.m. May 6 at Sun Village clubhouse.

She will also offer resources to support having a plant based lifestyle on Kauai.

Lemay’s passion for plant-based eating began as a health quest while healing from major surgery. It began with changing her belief system around being vegan, she said.

“Whether you been vegan for years, new to plant based living or just plant curious, you are sure to learn how to successfully eat out almost anywhere on island, support local farmers and to choose a plant based lifestyle out of self love, yes even here on Kauai,” according to a flier.

For the potluck dinner, please bring a vegan dish, with recipe/ingredient list), or a donation, $10 suggested (free for children 12 and under).
