LIHUE — The Salvation Army recently announced plans to open a thrift store at its Lihue Corps, 4182 Hardy St., on Friday.
The store will operate daily Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
“We look forward to welcoming the Kauai community to our new location in Lihue at our Corps building,” said Lt. Bill Simon, Kauai County coordinator and Corps Officer for The Salvation Army Lihue Corps. “By supporting our thrift stores in both Lihue and Hanapepe, customers help support our social outreach programs across the island.”
The Salvation Army’s longtime thrift store on Rice Street closed last year after the building was sold.
Donations for the stores are accepted at The Salvation Army Lihue Corps and at The Salvation Army Hanapepe Corps Thrift Store, 4465 Puolo Rd., Hanapepe.
