Kaiser doctors, others will clean up Waipa

WAIPA — Kaiser Permanente’s annual day of service will be at Waipa ahupuaa from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The event is in its second year, and Kauai volunteers will be at the Waipa ahupuaa on the North Shore cleaning weeds and roots from loi and removing invasive plants and weeds from the banks of Waipa Stream.

Volunteers include Kaiser Permanente Hawaii physicians, staff and family members and community partners.
