Meaning of ‘Happy New Year’
We are celebrating at home, in business places, restaurants, parks and beaches. Yes, we are excited or even exhilarated about arrival of 2018!
Let wise person within us reflect:
Did we fulfill all the resolutions we made in 2017 and before:
• Watching our diet, exercising and controlling weight
• Not using alcohol and drugs, and not gambling
• Having success in work and business
• Not to be in debt
• Improving marriage
• Improving parenting
• Caring for our environment, and
• Volunteering services for our community.
How about not making a list of all resolutions; and right now, show gratitude for:
• Gift of life
• Wonders of universe
• Blessings of body and mind
• Love and caring of family, friends, teachers, employers, co-workers and leaders;
And make commitment for improving:
• Physical health
• Emotional health
• Intellectual health
• Social health, and
• Spiritual health.
Yes, such a health is a wealth.
Let this commitment be for today and throughout 2018 to give true meaning to “Happy New Year,” and feel fulfilled in our journey of life!

NOT
I take it you meant it. Medical plan? Free rider program was the issue, but got tossed out as pertaining to use of roads and sewage. A big issue. Anything. Youth coaches and their family’s health.
Good points.
Well ah, none of my business if a 32 year old man wants to coach youth football or basketball. But at the hospital, do we deduct it off the welfare funds? When they need a check up. Also a monumental issue on Kaua’i. Coaching and health.
Well ah, “twice”, that 32 year old man beat out our Waimea high school star quarterback. How? He never played football in high school, but became a 5-11 tall man. That qb of ours got beaten out by a pop warner star. That high school qb grew to 5-8 tall and deserves no medical. Also brought up when filing forms. Hospital.
They need to pay up though. Mr. Football 1981 still needs to pay his bills. WAIMEA HIGH SCHOOL. Medical. Medicine, etc
