No injuries reported during vehicle fire
MOLOAA – A fire destroyed a vehicle and briefly blocked one lane of Kuhio Highway Tuesday evening.
Firefighters were dispatched to the northbound shoulder of Kuhio Highway about 6 p.m. at mile marker 17 on the North Shore, where they found a vehicle fully involved in flames, according to a county press release.
Police closed the northbound lane for 15 minutes while fire units were responding on scene.
Firefighters extinguished the fire and cleared the scene about 6:30 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
The vehicle is considered a total loss.
The cause of the fire was deemed unintentional, the release said.
Wrong. Cars don’t just burst out into flames. The person stole it, then set in on fire.
