Kahaleo native Nate Herbig was named to the 2017 All-Pac 12 football team. The league released the list of standouts Tuesday.
Herbig, a sophomore offensive lineman for Stanford University, was recognized on the league’s first team offense.
Others on the first team offense include Stanford junior running back and Heisman Trophy finalist Bryce Love and Southern Cal redshirt sophomore quarterback Sam Darnold.
Herbig, a Saint Louis School alumnus, will play in the Alamo Bowl on Dec. 28 in San Antonio, Texas. Stanford, ranked No. 15 by the Associated Press, will take on No. 13 TCU of the Big 12.
Stanford reached the Pac 12 championship game this season but narrowly lost to Southern Cal, 31-28, earlier this month.
Herbig couldn’t be reached for comment Thursday.
