National Weather Service confirms South Carolina tornadoes
The National Weather Service reports damage after severe storms hit western North Carolina on Monday. At least 98,000 homes and businesses lost power. Numerous trees are down. Fierce winds flipped planes at Hickory Regional Airport. (Oct. 24)
