California fire victims return home as crews gain ground

Jennifer Jauregui, the daughter of a local grape picker, stands at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds in Petaluma, Calif., Sunday, Oct. 17, 2017. While some are gathering the last grapes from vineyards, others are still searching for lost loved ones or planning memorial services for those who died after massive wildfires. Ordinary busy lives have now slipped off track, grossly interrupted by a weeklong complex of historically destructive wildfires that have killed dozens of people and destroyed more than 5,000 homes and structures.
