Shinae sets a trap for Mipoong

The 37th annual Hawaii International Film Festival will kick off next month on Nov. 2 for 10 days of films from all over the world.

One of HIFF’s strongest sections is the Korean film category, and there are nine South Korean films confirmed. They are: “The Day After,” “Glass Garden,” “I Can Speak,” “Man of Will,” “Ordinary Person,” “The Sheriff in Town,” “A Special Lady,” “A Taxi Driver” and “The Villainess.”

HIFF is also collaborating with Ward Village for a free screening of a film every month on the second Thursday. This Thursday, a Korean film, “Vanishing Time: A Boy Who Returned,” will be shown. It stars Kand Dong Won (HIFF 2014) and Shin Eun Soo and was directed by Uhm Tae-hwa.
