WHAT’S AT STAKE
The winner takes sole possession of first place in the Big Ten West. Wisconsin has won four straight against the Cornhuskers and five of six since Nebraska joined the conference in 2011. Nebraska, which has won 20 straight night games at Memorial Stadium, will get a much better measure of itself after opening Big Ten play with wins over Rutgers and Illinois.
KEY MATCHUP
Wisconsin defense vs. Nebraska QB Tanner Lee. The Badgers have 16 sacks through four games, with eight coming last week against Northwestern. Though turnover-free against Illinois, Lee has thrown nine interceptions already. He doesn’t run well and tends to panic when under pressure.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Wisconsin: RB Johnathan Taylor. The freshman leads the Big Ten with 129.5 yards per game and seven rushing touchdowns. Nebraska has held four of its five opponents under 100 yards rushing.
Nebraska: NT Mick Stoltenberg. The 6-foot-5, 305-pound junior has been a beast taking on double teams so far, but the Wisconsin offensive line is a different animal.
