LIHUE — The Kauai Police Activities League recently received a check for $4,000 thanks to the Kauai Visitor Industry Charity Walk.
“We are very grateful to the Charity Walk sponsors, coordinators and volunteers, for including K-PAL as a recipient of this generous donation,” said Kauai Police Chief Darryl Perry. “K-PAL programs strive to ‘fill playgrounds, not prisons’ by providing positive activities and role models for our youth. I look forward to seeing the program continue to make a positive impact in our keiki.”
The $4,000 donation will go toward purchasing safety equipment for youth activities and help sustain K-PAL’s North Shore basketball program, islandwide flag football program, and boxing program.
K-PAL is a nonprofit coordinated by KPD to offer programs to youth ages 5 to 18.
