Hole-in-one at Princeville Makai

PRINCEVILLE — The Princeville Makai Golf Club witnessed its fifth hole-in-one this month.

Warren Thompson, of Los Alamitos, Calif., hit an ace on Princeville Makai’s seventh hole. Thompson hit his Titleist Pro VI ball 150 yards into the cup.

“I thought I hit the 7-iron pretty solid towards the flag a distant 150 yards away. But we all lost sight of it once it landed. We were all totally amazed to find it in the hole,” Thompson said.

Thompson was awarded the flag from the seventh hole flag stick, which is tradition at the club.
