Leonora K. Kelekoma
Leonora K. Kelekoma, 87 years old of Anahola, Kauai passed away on Aug. 21, 2017, at her home. Born on April 27, 1930, in Hanalei, Kauai, Leonora was a Cannery Worker/Domestic Engineer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dimiliciano and Irene Inanod; brothers, George Inanod, Sylvester Inanod and Steven Inanod; sister, Kathleen “Bones” Inanod; daughter, Paulette Kelekoma; son-in-law, Leonard “Boy” Silva; grandchildren, Stacey Haunani Kelekoma and Conrad Silva.
She is survived by her sons, Patrick (Judy) Kelekoma of Princeville, Philibert (Rosarie) Kelekoma of Wailua, Clay (Laurie) Kelekoma of Hanamaulu, Bruce (Leanor) Kelekoma of Anahola, Jonah Kelekoma of Anahola; daughters, Priscilla Silva of Las Vegas, Pearl Kaukani of Anahola, LeeAnn (David) Fernandez of Anahola; brothers, Val (Sandy) Inanod of Kilauea, Julio (Cecilia) Inanod of Kilauea, Wayne “Winki” (Sharon) Inanod of Kapaa; sisters, Dolores “Moki” Watanabe of Las Vegas, Elizabeth “Nani” (Yoshi) Harada of Wainiha; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, at Garden Island Mortuary.
Chapel from 8 a.m. and services will be celebrated at 9:45 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens, casual attire.
Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
Cristeta Beleno Nacis
Cristeta Beleno Nacis of Lihue passed away in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Aug. 19, 2017, at the age of 69. She was born in Manabo, Abra, Philippines on April 1, 1948, and retired from K Mart Jewelry Department.
Cristeta is survived by her husband, Samuel Nacis; son, Frederick Nacis of the Philippines; sisters, Tina B. Bautista, Lyn (Sanguan) Putisan; niece, Mathea Gandia; nephews, Dennis (Dorothy) Bautista, Derrick (Emelita) Bautista; grand nephews, Thomas Cruz and Jhann Cruz; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be held in the Philippines.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Nacis family with arrangements.
Charles (Chuck) Capener
Charles (Chuck) Capener passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Friday, Aug. 25 2017, at age 74. He was born Oct. 13, 1942, in Santa Monica, CA.
He served in the US Army. Chuck worked as a CNA at Wong’s Care Home for many years and later worked for Nurse Finders & American Red Cross as an in home caregiver.
Chuck is survived by his mother, Marie Capener of Lihue; brothers, Donald (Barbara) Capener of Kapaa, Kenneth (Pamela) Capener of Cambridge, ID; many nieces and nephews.
A family memorial will be held in September.
