POIPU — Koloa Landing Resort at Poipu, Autograph Collection, introduces Sally Halm as director of sales and marketing and Shawn Pace and Catherine McKenna as national directors of accounts.
Halm was responsible for leading the 17-month renovation and conversion of the Koloa Landing Resort to Marriott’s Autograph Collection. In her role as director of sales and marketing, Halm will continue to foster relationships with travel bureaus, partners and writers.
Koloa Landing’s new world-class amenities include 36,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, including a 12,000-square-foot grand ballroom that can be broken out into seven separate spaces.
“We are excited to be able to introduce the resort and our new amenities to this exciting category of travelers,” Halm said. “Koloa Landing offers state-of-the-art conference facilities and event spaces to host a wide range of activities, but what is even more unique about the resort is the way that the tropical surroundings and aloha spirit are infused into every element of the guest experience.”
Before becoming the national director of accounts, Shawn Pace was the senior account executive for the Marriott International Global Sales Team in Denver since June 2009.
While there, he was the primary point of contact for high-profile accounts for the western mountain pacific region, which encompassed eight Fortune 100 companies and more than a dozen Fortune 500 companies across five states. Under Pace’s leadership, account production increased by 150 percent, taking one account from number 50 to 1st in the region.
Pace started his career at the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans in 2000 and has since been the sales manager at Marriott International New Orleans and the Renaissance Pere Marquette and Arts Hotels in New Orleans. He’s been married to his wife Natalie for 15 years and together they have two children. Pace will be working remotely from Denver.
Catherine McKenna joins the team as a national director of accounts with 20 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry. Since 2016 she worked as the western region account director for Club Med in Paris, France, where she opened the inaugural office in Chicago to manage the Midwest and west coast markets. She also developed the first dedicated remote office in Chicago as a regional director of Midwest sales for Visit St. Petersburg/Clearwater.
McKenna started her career in 1997 as a catering and convention service sales manager at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Skokie, Illinois. She then moved on to become the sales manager for Evanston Convention & Visitors Bureau and later for the Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau.
Other previous positions have led her across the country.
