HAENA — Registration is now open for Paddle Kauai’s 17-mile Na Pali Coast elite paddle race and charity event, which will be held Aug. 6.
The SUP, paddle board and OC1 race starts at Haena Beach Park and ends at Polihale Beach.
‘The entry fee is $110 for an individual and $75 per person for teams. Registration is online only at napalirace.com/signup.
Late entry fees after 7 p.m. July 24 will be an additional $2o for solo and $10 for teams. After 7 p.m. July 31, prices will be $40 extra for individuals and $20 for teams.
Sign-up closes 5 p.m. Aug. 5, and there will be no beach entries.
The event package includes event T-shirt, jersey or sweatshirt and awards dinner by Kalapaki Joe’s. A shuttle service and race day equipment trailering will be available for $40.
Take-off is at noon. Racers are expected to finish at Polihale in two to four hours.
Wrap-up at Polihale is expected to be at 5 p.m. and an award celebration will take place at the Kekaha Neighborhood Center from 6-8 p.m.
