We need your help to determine the Best of Kauai. Actually, it’s more than your help. It’s your call.
Voting is underway in TGI’s annual Best of Kauai People’s Choice Awards. Ballots can be found in TGI through Saturday, with the deadline to submit your ballot July 19.
The results will be published Oct. 29 in a special section inside The Garden Island.
You, the readers, determine the winners in categories including health and beauty, locations and activities, services and repairs, food and dining and companies. Each year, there are some favorites that return to the top, and there are some newcomers.
Want to know what’s considered top sports bar? Best place for pizza? How about the top coffee shop? It’s all going to be in this annual vote. This is the place to find out.
Businesses honored in the Best of Kauai generally do things right. They follow a solid formula. They provide quality products, friendly service and charge fair prices. They take time to ensure their customers are treated well and leave happy. They don’t cut corners when it comes to their professions and have the highest standards. It’s why they succeeded as long as they have, it’s why they’re excelling today and it’s why they’ll continue to be part of this community well into the future.
Some of last year’s winners include: Kauai Bakery and Cinnamon; Garden Island Barbecue; Tip Top, Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa; Bull Shed; Ha Coffee Bar; Koloa Rum; Ishiraha Market; Roberts Jewelry; Punzal Vision; Kauai Chiropractic and Wellness Center; Epic Hair Boutique; Times/Big Save Markets; Longs Drugs; Smith’s Family Garden Luau; and Pacific Service and Development Corp.-NAPA Auto Parts.
These are the kinds of places where the owners greets customers when they walk in the door. These are the kinds of places where employees are smiling and happy and look forward to going to work. These are the kinds of places where customers can rest assured they will be well taken care of.
Hundreds of people cast their ballots each year and we encourage you to be among them. We’ll list the top three vote getters.
We thank all those who take time to vote, and we thank all those who make The Garden Island Best of Kauai possible through their advertising dollars. We know those are hard-earned dollars and will do our best to be sure this publication is as outstanding as the very businesses it is focused on.
In advance, we congratulate all those who receive votes and serve Kauai so well. All of us are fortunate and honored to have you here and appreciate your efforts to provide excellent service.
By the way, if you need a little more incentive to cast your votes, a trip for two to Las Vegas and $500 cash will go to the winner of a drawing of all the ballots.
