Police arrest suspects in Kapaa burglary

KAPAA — The Kauai Police Department arrested two adults and detained one juvenile in connection to a burglary investigation at Kauai Shores Hotel. Joey Guerrero, 35, of Kapaa, and Starla Landon, 20, of Kilauea, were arrested June 21 for burglary

KAPAA — The Kauai Police Department arrested two adults and detained one juvenile in connection to a burglary investigation at Kauai Shores Hotel.

Joey Guerrero, 35, of Kapaa, and Starla Landon, 20, of Kilauea, were arrested June 21 for burglary in the first degree.

The 17-year-old female juvenile was also detained.

It was later learned that she was a runaway reported missing from Hawaii Island. Child Welfare Services was contacted and placed the juvenile in their custody.

Their case is set for a continued preliminary hearing on July 13.
