Letitia ‘Letty’ Okino
Leticia “Letty” Vasquez Okino of Lawai passed away on May 9, 2017, at the age of 53. Born on Jan. 7, 1964, in Waimea, Kauai. She worked as a Personal Assistant at Ho’oheno.
She is survived by her son, Chad M. Okino; parents, David and Lita Vasquez; brother, David (Cristina) Vasquez, Jr.
A service will be held for all those who have known and loved her at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo on July 1, 2017, with visitation at 8:30 a.m. services at 10 a.m. A Luncheon to follow.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary.
Thomas ‘Toki’ Tokio Koga
Thomas “Toki” Tokio Koga., 86 years old of Lawai, Kauai passed away on June 14, 2017, at his home. He was born on Jan. 27, 1931, in Kukuiula, Kauai and was a retired Electrician with the County of Kauai
He is preceded in death by his son, Eric Koga; parents, Komezo and Keyo Koga; brothers, Kazuyoshi Kawahara, Masaru Koga, Tatsuo Koga; sisters, Kiyoko Shimokawa and Doris Uyeda.
Survived by his wife Nancy Koga; sons, Warren (Lisa) Koga, Milton (Wendy) Koga, Craig (Lori) Koga; daughter, Doreen (Mervyn) Masumura; daughter in law, Alison Koga; brother, Henry (Ginger) Koga; sisters, Yoshiko Okiura, Helen Oyama; 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Garden Island Mortuary from 2:30 p.m. Where services will be celebrated at 4 p.m.

Kawaiola Mawae Yasay
Kawaiola Mawae Yasay passed away on June 8, 2017, at the age of 28. She was born in Waimea, Kauai on Oct. 17, 1988. She was preceded in death by her father Roy Yasay, and brother Kapena Bridges.
She is survived by her sisters, Desiree Yasay of Waimea and Kelsey Bridges of Kalaheo; brothers, Joey Licayan of Kekaha and Travis Mawae of Wisconsin; mother, Lei Mawae-Schiller of Wisconsin; nephews, Kapena Perreira of Kalaheo and Kaikona Girod of Kekaha; nieces, Kale’a Yasay of Waimea and Mahina Girod of Kekaha; numerous cousins, aunties, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Services in remembrance of Kawaiola will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2017, at West Side Enterprise Center. (Kekaha Hawaiian Homes Center), 7694 Ulili Rd. Viewing at 11 a.m. and Service to start promptly at noon. Flowers are welcomed by family. Aloha Attire is suggested.

Ho’olokahi “Hapa” Kamaehu Aki, 23 of Keaau; he passed away on June 4, 2017, at Hilo Medical Center. He was born on April 7, 1994, in Lihue, Hawaii; A Celebration of His Life will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2017, at Hilo Bayfront at the Puna Canoe Club Halau; Services at 9:30 a.m.

Claradeen ‘Deenie’ Momilani Fu-McDermott
Claradeen “Deenie” Momilani Fu-McDermott of Kapaa passed away on June 8, at the age of 60. She was born in Wailua, Kauai on Sept. 2. 1956.
Preceded in death by her husband, Kevin McDermott; daughter, Maile Mokihana Fu; parents, Edwin and Clara Fu Sr.; sister, Charleen Fu Kinney; brother, Wendall Fu.
Deenie is survived by her bother, Edwin Fu Jr.; sisters, Edleen Kaui, Helena Gittner and Marleen (Greg) Fu-Goodwin; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Waipa, Kauai.
