50 teams in Kauai Hoops Classic

Five basketball teams from Alaska will be joining the Kauai Hoops Classic, which will run June 22-25 at sites around the island.

“The Alaska teams are excited about coming back,” said Kauai Lynx coach Clarence Sales, the tournament director. “We will have a lot of basketball taking place with about 50 teams participating.”

Kauai will have teams participating in the tournament that will also feature squads from around the state. Players are from seventh through 12th grades.
