Bob Bruhl, head of Hawaii operations for D.R. Horton, said the event was special because Clyde Kodani was wearing closed-toe shoes (except Sharon Sahara didn’t send the memo to Kanani). The only less-than-happy moment is that Ho‘oluana is Gary’s last project because he’s getting ready to retire.
Kudos to Celia Melchor Questin and her county Agency on Elderly Affairs ohana on hosting a great health fair geared for kupuna (we should call it an “older American festival”) in conjunction with May being Older Americans Month! Of course, Jim Jung (he still remembers doing National Safe Boating Week activities, too) had to be there, and Melanie Okamoto (mahalo for the key chain flashlight — it was perfect for graduation!) opted to be mobile instead of being tethered to a table.
Rachel Bachran said maybe we should have a pickle ball court set up for the next one so people can experience the “fastest growing sport on Kauai.”
