Still time to walk for charty

LIHUE — The 39th annual Kauai Visitor Industry Charity Walk is set for Saturday at the Historic County Building. Late registration starts at 6:30 a.m. with the walk starting at 7 a.m.

The goal is $275,000 and 2,300 walkers.

Residents and visitors alike can participate in the 2.9-mile walk around Lihue town followed by a free breakfast on the lawn with entertainment and prizes.

Individuals can earn a T-shirt for a minimum pledge of $35.

Last year’s Charity Walk saw 2,118 walkers raising $264,411. The proceeds were shared among 62 Kauai nonprofits.
