KILAUEA — Anaina Hou Community Park will present the second Anaina Hou Mo‘olelo Series event on Friday at the Christ Memorial Church Parish Hall in Kilauea.
This “talk story” series is designed to bring the community together to honor the past through stories from kupuna and historians, celebrating the history and cultural traditions of life in Kilauea and across the North Shore of Kauai.
“We are very honored to continue our series, this month featuring stories of plantation days in Kilauea by Uncle Gary Pacheco and a group of friends, and facilitated by Uncle Gary Smith,” said Thomas Daubert, executive director of Anaina Hou Community Park. “This is our first panel presentation and we are all in for a treat as they share stories with us.”
Talk story will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
