LIHUE — National Tropical Botanical Garden and Kauai Community College present the next “Seeds of Thought” public lecture series at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Tobias Koehler, director of South Shore Gardens, will talk about the flora of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Tobias will discuss how extreme elevation and climatic changes along the savanna and slopes of Africa’s most iconic mountain are shaping plants and other wildlife.
The free lecture will discuss amazing African plants and how Kilimanjaro’s ecosystems compare with Hawaii’s volcanoes.
