Eleanor Jane Rosa Nobriga

Eleanor Jane Rosa Nobriga of Puhi passed away at home on March 26, at the age of 85. She was born in Hanamaulu on Oct. 1, 1931, and was a dedicated homemaker.

Preceded in death by her parents, John and Georgina Rosa; brother, John Rosa; granddaughters, Lori Jayne Nobriga-Nakamoto and Vanessa Nobriga.

Eleanor is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, David Nobriga Sr.; daughters, Regina Kaui, Rosemary (Melvin) Robley; sons, David (Allison) Nobriga Jr., Mark Nobriga and Anthony Nobriga; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of her life will be held on April 21, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8: to 9:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Nobriga family with arrangements.

Joshua Akamu Josiah

Joshua Akamu Josiah of Kapaa passed away on March 14, at the age of 37. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on March 25, 1979, and was a Jack of all Trades.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Dias; paternal grandparents, Peter and Julia Josiah; aunty Althea “Kuuipo” Vidinha; uncles Butch Josiah, David “Kaweka” Josiah, Jerome “Ross” Dias, Todd Okuno; cousin, Kaimana Duque-Dias.

Joshua is survived by his maternal grandmother, Corliss Dias; mother, Diane Dias; father, Adam “Akamu” (Earlene) Josiah; daughter, Ailanna (Keilan) Lagmay-Josiah; grandson, Kaikoa Gonsalves; brothers, Isaac Josiah, Kaleo (Chanel) Josiah, Jacob Josiah, James Dias; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces and cousins.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 22, at Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Josiah-Dias family with arrangements.
