Lihue man arrested for alleged sexual assault of a minor

LIHUE — Kauai police have arrested a 37-year-old Lihue man suspected of sexually assaulting a minor.

Michael J. Terui was indicted by the grand jury on Thursday, Feb. 16 for two counts of sexual assault and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Police located Terui at his Lihue home on Wednesday morning. He was booked at police headquarters and later released on $100,000 bail.

An investigation continues. Kauai police have reason to believe there could be more victims involved in separate incidents.
