Beatrice Tetsuko Kawamura
Beatrice Tetsuko Kawamura of Lihue passed away at home on Jan. 29, 2017, at the age of 94. She was born in Huleia, Kauai on July 17, 1922, and was a dedicated homemaker.
Preceded in death by her husband, Masato Kawamura and daughter, Jean Yoshida.
She is survived by four children, Amy (Kenneth) Hayashida of L.A., Edward (Lilli) Kawamura Sr. of Wailua, Samuel (Joanne) Kawamura of California, Glenn (Aida) Kawamura of Lihue; brother, Torao (Dixie) Kashima of Lihue; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, at Lihue Christian Church with visitation from 9 a.m. and services celebrated at 10 a.m. Family requests no Koden.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Kawamura family with arrangements.

Clinton Ioane Makanani of Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away on Jan. 18, 2017, at the age of 70.
He was born on June 10, 1946, in Waimea, Kauai.
He was a carpenter.
Preceded in death by: parents, John & Agnes Makanani, daughter, Fallon Lopez, brother, Randy Makanani, sister, Cheryl Jordan.
Survived by: daughter, Lea (Robert) Boyce, Washington, son, CLinton (Shiannte) Makanani , Kapaa
Stephen “Kaliko” Makanani, Kapaa, & 9 grandchildren.
A celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, Lihue Ward. Visitaion 9 a.m. Service 10 a.m. Luncheon to follow
