Kauai High unseeded in D2 girls basketball tourney

Kauai Interscholastic Federation girls basketball champion Kauai High (6-3 KIF, 2-2 2nd round, 1-0 playoff) is unseeded at the Snapple Girls Basketball Championships – Division II state tournament.

Seeding and schedules were released Saturday by the Hawaii High School Athletic Association.

The Red Raider girls will play Kohala of the Big Island Interscholastic Federation at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Kalani High School in Honolulu.

The other first round match-ups on Wednesday are: Lanai (MIL) vs. Damien Memorial (ILH) 5 p.m. at Kalani High School; Moanalua (OIA) vs. Hawaii Baptist Academy (ILH), 5 p.m. at Farrington High School; and St. Francis (ILH) vs. Waipahu (OIA), 7 p.m. at Farrington High School.

Seeded teams are: No. 1 Mid-Pacific (ILH), No. 2 Kamehameha Schools-Hawaii (BIIF), No. 3 Seabury Hall (MIL) and No. 4 Kalani (OIA).
