Kudos to the Department of Veterans Affairs security officers who do a great job as greeters and security at the Solipsys Veterans Center, stopping to greet Padric Gallagher (saw him twice in one day!) coming to work at the American Red Cross.
The security officers were on duty when Marissa Sandblom and the Grove Farm Company ohana arrived with its food drive (Bev Brody could not believe they did two drives!) headed by Sharyl Lam Yuen to benefit Todd Gordon of the VA HUD-VASH.
Bev was at the Rice Street presentation where the new sense of place logo was unveiled for business and property owners in Lihue, including Danny Morioka’s parents (does that qualify for Gaylyn Wong’s cookbook in progress?) Tustao and Harriet Morioka of Dani’s restaurant.
Larry Feinstein and Jim Guerber of the Kauai Beer Company had some of the logo (it would look really nice on a cap) already done on their coasters.
Of course, Pat Griffith and Tommy Noyes of the Lihue Business Association had to be there, making for a long day since she had the LBA meeting early Thursday, too.
