Happy Camper for Friday, Jan. 27, 2017

Happy birthday to Averie Soto who celebrated her special day (and where was the candle?) Wednesday.

Riana Ralston was thrilled to be able and sit with a champion (Monique Tomacder is a member of the KIF champion Kauai High School girls basketball team) while watching her brother Ricky do his magic with the Kauai High School JV boys basketball program.

Florence Toyofuku was with mom Bryna at the Tuesday sunshine market at the Historic County Building. She didn’t have time to visit the library since she discovered the bag of rambutan and shared her happiness with her Care Bear.

Kudos to Sharyl Lam Yuen of Grove Farm for coordinating the food drive which helps Todd Gordon and his staff at the Veterans Affairs Homeless Program for the VA Pacific Islands Health Care System. Sharyl also headed up the food drive Grove Farm hosted in the spring which benefited the St. Raphael’s Church food pantry outreach program.

OK, time to get ready for Chinese New Year and the Chinese lion at Kukui Grove, starting at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
