Free movie premiere at KPAC

PUHI — A new documentary on the growth of the local food movement in Hawaii is hitting the screens across the state and the film will premier on Kauai on Friday, Feb. 10 at the Kauai Community College Performing Arts Center at 7:15 p.m.

The documentary addresses the question of how Hawaii can become food-independent and follows the stories of those who are trying to make that happen.

Cyrus Sutton, award-winning film maker and surfer from the west coast, made the film, which features the footage of Malia Chun, Dustin Barca, Chad Pa, Lorrin Pang and Tyrone Hayes.
