Survey set for Salt Pond park
HANAPEPE — A small portion of Salt Pond Beach Park next to the restrooms will be closed to the public this week to allow engineers to conduct an archaeological survey.
The information collected will be used to help finalize the design for the new sewer pump stations and wastewater force main that service the restrooms.
A mini-excavator will be used in the survey work.
The work is scheduled to take place Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
