Police to set up sobriety checkpoints
The Kauai Police Department is urging motorists to drive safely throughout the holiday season.
“To encourage the safety of our motorists and pedestrians, officers will be increasing traffic monitoring and enforcement islandwide,” said KPD Chief Darryl Perry.
Perry said sobriety checkpoints will be set up around the island and police will be checking for those driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, as well as other traffic violations.
