LIHUE — A two-vehicle accident blocked Ahukini Road Thursday night.
According to police, a Toyota pickup driven by a 78-year-old Lihue man was turning left from Umi Street onto Ahukini Road when it struck an eastbound Honda sedan on Ahukini about 7.
The crash caused the truck to roll onto its side. The 26-year-old driver of the Honda of Lihue was transported by medics to Wilcox hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Tacoma did not report any injuries.
Ahukini Road was closed for about 30 minutes while police cleared the scene. During the closure, traffic was diverted onto Akahi and Palai streets.
An investigation continues.
