LIHUE — This year’s free Edcamp at Island School is set for Jan. 21
“The agenda for the day, unlike most seminars or professional development, is set by the participants,” said Jessica Kerber, project manager for Hawaii Society for Technology in Education.
It is open to all teachers.
“You don’t have to be an expert on anything, but you have to facilitate the discussion. It’s kind of an organic type of process where they share ideas of what works and what doesn’t,” Kerber said.
With over 90 participants in each of the last two events, Kerber is confident the turnout will be great.
“It’s the only opportunity on Kauai where educators have the chance to discuss and talk with other teachers from different schools,” Kerber said.
